Energy in the Workplace

Our unique version of reality is flexible, and alters according to the way we view it, helping to uncover methods of interaction that foster good results and generate positive energy.

Through 'catching the ball' of emotional impact, we prevent unwanted effects from running loose in our physical form, released by the brain's hormone regulators responding to stress input.

This study explains the process...

The conscious mind incurs a delay between brain registration (in preparation for action) and decision-making. The subconscious mind has invoked the action we take before we are aware of it. This mechanism highlights the need to 'take a step back' in any stressful or habitual situation and make room for sound judgement on what you will do next.

Human connectivity is best effected by means of positive interaction. In terms of emotional energy, the 'positive' polarity is Love and the 'negative' polarity Fear.

Fear-based behaviours (harsh judgement, refusal to support, diminishing others, reluctance to share information) are inbound (withdrawing) defensive mechanisms; on the other hand, love-based behaviours (kindness, support, empathy, communication) are outbound (facilitating) conciliatory mechanisms. One shuns (defends against) and is shunned (defended against, but emulated), the other embraces (welcomes, calms, supports) and is embraced (adopted/emulated).

This article explains exactly why negative behaviours spread within a workplace:

The stronger energy in a workplace environment is the one most regularly fed by attendant personnel. You either have an atmosphere of withdrawal and fear, or you have an atmosphere of conciliation and love. These are of course interchangeable, but in a healthy environment negative will give way to positive swiftly after any given (stressful) event because people have discovered the value of letting go of history as soon as it is made, in order to move on.

Our perception of reality is unique to us. This is an important factor to consider in assessing any situation. The other parties involved will inevitably have a different perspective on the event from your own. This article from Berkeley University interestingly cites a book on the subject - the click bait is harmless, just get past a couple of pop-ups to read uninterrupted.
