Millennials are taking over the workplace - and they're looking for so much more.
As we've evolved, in defiance of geo-political tides pushing against progress, people have come to recognise the value of mental health, employee welfare and cultural engagement. Getting fit for survival is part of the process, as crossing into the unknown demands of us to be agile and adaptable. We can't afford to stay chained to change resistance, or keep employees demotivated in subordination as we enter this new era of personal discernment. The old methods of company management just don't work any more.
In an industrial environment, with its triple-tier structure of directorship, administration and shop floor, there are more opportunities to successfully engage than in any other sector. Making components and products carries with it an inherent call to action for advanced mind-sets and innovative practices, and engineers have an inherent talent for problem-solving and creative innovation. What's not to like about getting them engaged?
Without cultural engagement, engineering can't progress. Without progressive engineering, manufacturing stalls in its tracks. At no time in human history has proactive change been more important to implement strategically. There is literally no time to waste in prioritising the welfare of your workforce, however you go about doing so! And many providers are out there to support your efforts, just look for them with an open mind in the certain knowledge that you cannot do all this from in-house, there is just too much confirmation bias and ingrained fear that has to be addressed objectively.
